I help you to overcome low self-esteem by helping you learn skill and/or self-development strategies to increase your self-awareness and self-concept. I help you to reframe negative thoughts to more positive and helpful thoughts (and truly believe them!).
My goal is to help you to find freedom from the desire of having validation and/or approval from others.
As a trauma therapist, I often see low self-esteem come from past experiences (more often than not, childhood experiences) which have lead individuals to have internal dialogues of “I am not good enough,” or “In order to be loved, I have to ____” to name a few.
I utilize various modalities to help transform these negative thoughts into positive beliefs. Examples of therapy modalities I use include: Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Self-Esteem exercises, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.
